Who We Are

We are undergraduate and graduate students who educate the UCSB & surrounding communities on how to prevent, create awareness, and facilitate discussion about sexual violence.

Peer Educators and Members - are fabulous!

Peer educators organize, facilitate, and participate in SSR events, such as It Affects Me and the Clothesline Project. They also host workshops provided by the program, such as ASSERT (self-defense) and gender discussions. Peer educators are an integral aspect of SSR, because they help educate and make people aware of rape culture and sexual assault in their community.

Anyone can become a peer educator as a part of SSR. All undergraduate and graduate students are welcome. Its easy to start - just begin attending weekly meetings during the Fall Quarter! Read more about getting involved.

RPEP Interns - We’re Fun.

Rape Prevention Education Program (RPEP) interns are chosen to be the coordinators and planners of Students Stopping Rape, as well as speakers and moderators for various workshops and programs for RPEP. RPEP interns are also members of SSR.
